Strategic Insights (Contractor) - Chief of Staff (Acting); Congressional Public Affairs Officer

  • Management - Acting Chief of Staff for Navy acquisition department with a multi-billion-dollar budget. Responsible for communicating/managing the Navy Captain’s 100-member department.
  • Technical Editing - Primary copy editor for engineer briefs and correspondence going to Congress for funding and approval.
  • Technical Writer - Create/review official correspondence for executive leadership
  • Writing - Primary writer for award nominees throughout the Command

Marine Corps Systems Command - Quantico, VA - 2015 - 2017

Janson Communications (Contractor) - Communication Specialist

  • Writing - One of three primary writers publishing over 50+ articles in 2016 on a multi-million dollar contract to the Marine Corps.
  • Top Article – Wrote the top online article which had over 500% more views than average.
  • Media – Successfully had 100% of all press releases picked up by defense publications, including Military.com and Marine Corps Times, in 2016.
  • Web Analytics - Collaborated with team to increase website traffic by 22% over past year.
  • Tradeshow- Manned the MCSC booth at Sea Air Space and Modern Day Marine conferences to a combined professional audience of over 19,000+.
  • Photography - Covered over 80+ photography events including delegates from Brazil and England, conferences and military ceremonies. Photos used by Inside Edition.
  • Messaging – Prepared PowerPoint presentations with key messaging for Marine Corps general and executives.

  • Management – As a junior officer, I stepped in as department head of a four-member teamsupporting 30+ sailors for one year.
  • Writing – Edit and approve articles submitted to global Navy.mil before posted online.
